Descrizione
Il Teatro Mariella è un contenitore culturale gestito dall'Apad onlus.
A Monopoli, nel 2005 viene costruito un piccolo teatro annesso alla Casa di Riposo “Romanelli” (in città meglio nota come "I Cappuccini”), nell'ala donata dalla Signora Bianco.
Mai aperto al pubblico, il teatro rinasce nel 2015 grazie all’accordo fra la Asp “Romanelli-Palmieri” e l’Associazione Apad Onlus.
L’Apad si è impegnata a ristrutturare il teatro e offrirlo alla città grazie ad un intervento cofinanziato dalla UniCredit Foundation, che ha creduto nella bontà dell’iniziativa, e dalla Compagnia teatrale Instabile.
Il progetto ha dato anche dimora e lavoro ad un giovane migrante, Elby, che ha svolto per tanti anni le funzioni di responsabile della custodia del teatro.
Dal 2015 ogni anno è allestita una Rassegna di prosa arricchita dal 2016 da una Rassegna per bambini e famiglie.
Il ricavato di queste iniziative viene utilizzato per portare avanti i progetti dell’Apad nei paesi finora sostenuti (Albania, Angola, Rwanda, Egitto, Bolivia), ma anche nel territorio.
E' attivo, inoltre, un laboratorio teatrale rivolto ad anziani dal titolo "I viaggiatori della terza età".
Tre stagioni di teatro di prosa come non accadeva a Monopoli dal Dopoguerra.
Due rassegne per ragazzi che hanno svelato a bambini e genitori il piacere di ascoltare storie dal vivo.
Ecco il piccolo mondo che si muove intorno a quello che all'inizio si chiamava Auditorium Bianco Manghisi.
Ora non è più auditorium: possiamo osare chiamarlo teatro. E non sarà più Bianco Manghisi. La vita, bella e invincibile, nel 2018 ci ha ordinato di dargli un altro nome: TEATRO MARIELLA, in ricordo di Mariella Ramirez, anima della Compagnia Instabile e cuore pulsante per l'attività dell'associazione, prematuramente scomparsa.

Teatro Mariella is a cultural center managed by Apad onlus.
In 2005 in Monopoli, a little theatre attached to Romanelli Nursing Home (well known like “Cappuccini” by local people) was built in the part given by Mrs. Bianco.
It has never opened to the public. The theatre reborns in 2015 thanks to the agreement between Asp “Romanelli-Palmieri” and Apad Onlus Association.
Apad has committed to restructure the theatre and to offer it to the city thanks to a cofinanced action by UniCredit Foundation that has believed in the goodness of this initiative, and by Compagnia teatrale Instabile.
The project has been a way to give accomodation and work to a young migrant named Elby, that for a lot of years has been the head officer of the theatre.
Since 2015 a festival of prose has set up also for adults and families, that reveals to parents and children the pleasure to listen live stories.
The income of these initiatives is used to help some Apad projects in Albania, Angola, Rwanda, Egypt and Bolivia, but also in our own territory.
Moreover, a theatrical workshop addressed to older people named “Viaggiatori delle terza età” is active.
This is the little world that moves around Auditorium Bianco Manghisi, the initial name.
Today, it is no longer an auditorium: we can call it theatre, and the name has changed.
Life is beautiful and invincible, and in 2018 it ordered to us to give it a new name: TEATRO MARIELLA, in memory of Mariella Ramirez, the soul of Compagnia Instabile and beating heart of association activity, prematurely dead.
Seats are 176. The stage is of 55 mq. The framing is black. Curtain with manual opening. Entire theatre of 310 mq.
It is possible to rent the theatre for artistic events, conferences and public meetings.
